Wales overcame a tough Georgian performance in the opening round of the IRB Under 21 World Championship to eventually win comfortably 73-25.
The Welsh success was built on some outstanding back play, showing a maturity and natural flair in their lines of running and most of all an obvious willingness to spread the ball wide to the wings as often as possible.
Georgia's fly half Malaguradze allowed his side to dominate the early territorial battle but the Welsh effort was soon up and running and Bramwell and Riley both scored inside the first 10 minutes.
The Welsh stretched ahead through tries for Clayton and George but, with Malaguradze having landed a monster drop goal and kicking his chances and his captain Kacharava scoring just before the break, the Dragons' half time lead was only 13 points at 31-18.
And the lead was further chiseled away after the break when wing Mchedlishvili scored but that try was to spark an intense Welsh reaction and recovery. Hewitt scored first and - despite losing Adam Powell to the sin bin for 10 minutes - the Welsh powered on.
Further tries for George, Jones, Davies, Day and Bramwell took the score out to 75-25.
Quotes
Lasha Malaguradze, Georgia: "I'm disappointed after that match but we were victims of a lack of cohesion. We only got together the day before yesterday but I think our pack can worry the best. As far as I'm concerned, I play in the Ukraine at the moment but I'd love to give it a go in Western Europe."
Daffydd Hewitt, Wales captain: "Even if the score does flatter us a bit, the first 20 minutes of the match were really very tough physically in the heat. Their pack is very strong. We had a strategy that worked well but against France it'll be another kettle of fish."
Chris Davey, Wales Coach: "It was a good match that allowed us to establish some confidence. France will be tougher but we showed we're capable of playing intelligent, heads-up rugby. Georgia lacked experience, but they'll make good progress, I'm sure."
